Meet Patty Feist

As a Canadian I have always been surrounded by natural beauty and bathed in endless wonder.

Roaming the globe brings me inspiration and awe in unexpected ways. I’ve climbed mountains alone, been in the middle of two military coups, (Zimbabwe, Turkey), was surrounded by a herd of elephants, locked on an empty train with a prisoner, watched a baby being born, and yet somehow, I have never picked an orange off of a tree.

My paintings are as diverse as my travels. My subjects vary from color bursting abstracts to black and white zebras. I work in acrylics, watercolors, graphite and ink. Every painting is dictated not by me, but by itself. It tells me who it is, and I listen. I am primarily a self-taught, intuitive, artist.

I have worked with talented artists in such places as Toulouse, France, lake Como, Italy, Carmel, USA, New York, USA, Isle of Man, British Isles, and Kelowna, Canada. I am privileged to have shown my work both locally and internationally, and my works are featured in both private and corporate collections globally.

As an artist it gives me great joy when I see someone feel a connection with a piece of art. Through color and form the pieces communicate, yet no words are spoken, none are required.

In the beautiful words of George Bernard Shaw: You use a glass mirror to see your face; you use works of art to see your soul.
